Although stuck smack dab in the middle of the pandemic, Stacy and Hyeng were able to make the most of their beautiful Chicago intimate wedding. From beautiful riverwalk views to a stunning garden venue, this day couldn’t have been more perfect.
First, we began their special day with their first look at the Naperville Riverwalk. For their first look, Hyeng was accompanied by their incredibly adorable pup. Hyeng and his pup waited for Stacy to arrive and well… his reaction says it all. Alongside with beautiful river views and incredible weather, Stacy and Hyeng looked amazing and straight out of a fairytale book. You could feel the love and connection in the air and truly it was breathtaking.
After taking some portraits at the Naperville Riverwalk, it was time for their ceremony at the incredibly beautiful Chicago venue, Morton Arboretum. What originally drew Stacy and Hyeng to this venue was of course the breathtaking scenery. To capture the vision of their wedding day they really wanted to have their flower girl, Nala, be there along with incorporating the beautiful Fall colors. Morton Arboretum has a beautiful garden venue for their ceremony and additional picturesque spots as well. Surrounded by friends and family, S+H had the most beautiful small ceremony ever. Stacy was wearing a beautiful dress from David’s Bridal and Hyeng complimented her so well. According to Stacy and Hyeng, their favorite part of their day was taking their bridal portraits. It was a fun activity where they were able to be outdoors and commemorate their special day.
There are many reasons why couples may choose to have an intimate wedding. Remember though, it is always up to you and your partner on how you want to celebrate your love. Stacy and Hyeng, were inspired by the simplicity and intimacy of having just a few friends and family present. They really got to focus more on their time together and share that joy with friends and family.
Intimate Wedding Planning
Although intimate weddings are some of my favorite events ever, there are times when couples may face some obstacles along the way. Stacy and Hyeng’s biggest obstacle while planning their intimate wedding was all about timing! S+H actually had originally thought of eloping on 10/7 and their wedding day was on 10/20. Stacy did such an amazing job planning and reaching out to vendors. It truly was remarkable the timing and how it all worked out! Along with that comes the one thing that they would have changed. They both agreed that if they could go back and change anything about their special day was definitely to give them a few more weeks to plan. Hey, you only live once, right?!
Intimate Wedding Advice from the Couple
For any of you couples looking to have a small, or micro wedding in the near future, here is some friendly advice from Stacy and Hyeng:
” Be flexible and plan around your 1 or 2 absolute must-haves (whether it is a date, venue or guests you want to attend). ”
Stacy and Hyeng were looking to have their honeymoon happen in 2021 or 2022, dependent on pandemic restrictions. They were hoping for something tropical so let’s hope that they get their dream honeymoon (I’ll be waiting to see some photos *wink wink*).
At the end of the day, Stacy and Hyeng’s Chicago Intimate Wedding was nothing but magical. From the incredible scenery of Morton Arboretum to the love and intimacy filling everyone’s hearts, it truly was a day to remember. Congratulations S+H and thank you so much for giving me the honor to capture such special and unforgettable moments – cheers!
