Julie and Matt grew up 10 minutes away from each other, but didn’t meet until their first day at college. On move-in day at the University of Illinois, Julie walked into Matt’s dorm and Matt knew right away that she was the one! Julie was a little shy at first, but Matt stole her heart and they officially started dating a few months later.

During a trip to Paris, Matt popped the question on a beautiful evening in a park underneath the Eiffel Tower. Afterwards, they went up to the top to enjoy champagne and the breathtaking view the city. They spent the rest of their European vacation as a newly engaged couple!

I met Matt and Julie at their engagement session in Lincoln Park a few weeks prior. They were so fun, easy to work with and even being with them a short period of time, you can really see how much they adore each other! Their wedding day was everything you could hope for. Julie looked stunning, the weather was absolutely perfect, and St. Mary of the Angels Cathedral and The Murphy Auditorium were the perfect settings for their celebration. The day was filled with tears of joy, laughter, and even a special appearance by Chief Illiniwek, U of I’s mascot!

I’m so grateful to have been a part of their wedding day, and I wish them the best in their lifetime together!
