Krys and Malcolm’s love story is like something out of the movies. Malcolm was from Australia and Krys from Naperville, Illinois. They met while studying abroad in Manchester, UK and travelled together throughout Europe before heading back to their respective homes. For four years they travelled back and forth to see each other. Finally in 2016 Malcolm made the decision to move to Seattle where they both now live.
Krys and Malcolm like to keep things very simple which is one of my favorite things about them. They didn’t have a huge dramatic proposal, but definitely talked about getting married in depth before committing to it. Their ceremony took place at North Central College’s Koten Chapel in Naperville closer to Krys’s family. It was an intimate ceremony surrounded by close friends and family and a few family members overseas FaceTimed in to watch. My favorite part of the day was when Malcolm’s eyes lit up as Krys walked into the ceremony.
It rained on and off through out the day, but the skies cleared up with just enough time for some photos in the park before heading to Wheatstack in Lisle, Illinois for their dinner reception.
I loved the fall colors they chose, but my favorite detail had to be Krys’s wedding dress! It was such a pretty lace dress and the deep v-back of it was accentuated with her gold back-drop necklace.
It makes me so happy to know their bond was so strong they were able to continue their relationship with such a distance between them. I’m so glad I was able to connect with Krys and Malcolm all the way from Seattle!
