Hey there! So I feel like I’m finally getting back into the work grind. Last week, the boyfriend and I traveled to California to visit my friends who recently got engaged and to take their photos. (Engagement photo post coming soon!) This is the first of a couple posts coming up about our trip to California, so if you want to see more make sure you check back next week!
This post specifically is about Sausalito, California. Honestly, I didn’t take very many photos here since I was too busy soaking in my surroundings and just being amazed at how pretty this place is. Not everything needs to be documented anyway, right? It’s nice to just enjoy what you’re doing and take a break for a bit, ya know?
Anyway…when we got to Sausalito, we had breakfast at the Lighthouse Cafe which was surprisingly great. We walked along Bridgeway where most of the shops and restaurants are. The photos I did get were of the coast facing the bay towards San Francisco. There were so many crabs hiding in the rocks along the water!
We parked really close to one of the harbors, so I wanted to take a walk and see some of the house boats. We eventually stumbled upon a houseboat that looks like the Taj Mahal!
Fun Fact: Otis Redding wrote “Sittin on the Dock of the Bay” in Sausalito.
On the way back to the hotel for dinner, we stopped near Battery Spencer to check out the great view of the Golden Gate Bridge. It was so cloudy and windy you could barely see the bridge at all, but the view was still pretty great.
If you’ve ever been to Sausalito, what was your favorite place to visit?
