A few weeks ago I sent out some ‘thank-you’ gifts to my 2016 wedding clients. I was able to leave my 9-5 during the summer of 2015, so this will be my first year where I’ll be a full-time photographer. This wouldn’t have been possible without my clients so I had to do something special for them. Also, shooting someone’s wedding is a huge responsibility. I’m so honored they’ve chosen me to help document one of the most important days of their lives, so to show my appreciation I sent out a box of goodies to help with their wedding planning.
To be honest, I didn’t really know where to start. I knew I wanted to send something that represented my brand, but was still personal and fun. One day while perusing Facebook for some inspiration (a.k.a. procrastinating) I found a post by Malissa from That’s Darlin’ which is a custom gifting studio. Her site was so cute and I immediately decided I wanted to work with her. She was quick to hear my suggestions and even looked over my site and social media to get a feel of my brand to make it even more customized.
After a few days, she sent over a list of items she thought matched me and my brand personality. I didn’t have her revise anything. I knew everything she had sent was perfect because I wanted extra for myself! (I may have ordered one extra just to test it out.)
Included in each gold gift box was a geometric ring display box to protect their new bling and show it off, a journal to write their vows, and some sweets to share (honey lavender shortbread and caramels).
I’m so happy with what Malissa found for my clients. I had no idea these things existed and probably would have spent forever trying to decide what to get. Everything she found fits my personality and I know they’re a hit because of the feedback I’m getting. Also, you should have seen me trying to lug all those boxes to FedEx. They thought I was crazy, but I was so excited to send them out!
That’s Darlin’ curates gifts for more than just weddings, so if you need a unique gift to send out I highly recommend her!
