I’m so lucky to have supportive friends that get really excited when I come up with ideas for shoots. I’ve had this idea for a few years now and Amy helped me finally make it happen. I’m always looking for a chance to try different things with my photography and that includes working with different locations, props, and concepts.
I started out with an idea to sort of recreate Suzy Snowflake. If you don’t know what I’m referring to, it’s a cartoon from the 1950’s where they personified a winter snowstorm into a delicate faerie. We incorporated mirrors, sparkly jewelry, and shiny twigs for Amy’s hair. Can you guess what we used for her make-up? By the end of the shoot it looked a little more dark and mysterious than a playful fairy, but I’m more than happy with the results.
